Backup: what to backup

Backup: what to backup

When you start a backup you have to select what type of backup you want to perform. According to your device there could be multiple options to choose from.

In the case of Android you can select basic MOBILedit backup (which can backup contacts, messages, calendar, files) or Android backup. This backup can be restored only into Android device.

Please note that MOBILedit backup cannot be used to restore applications

You can also choose the raw ADB (Device) backup of your phone. This will be saved as a .AB file and can be restored using an ADB command below

adb restore <location of your backup>

If your phone is iPhone then you can select basic MOBILedit backup or you can create an iTunes backup using MOBILedit.
For more information see iTunes backup section.
