Transferring messages into your Android device

If you have a device with Android version 4.4 or higher, in order to transfer messages into the desired device you must change the default SMS/Messaging app to MOBILedit Connector. Due to restrictions put in place by recent versions of android.


Note: These instructions apply to Standard mode only.


 To switch messaging apps:

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps (located in the lower right).
  2. Tap Settings. 
  3. From the WIRELESS AND NETWORKS section, tap More Networks. 
  4. Tap Default Messaging App. 
  5. Tap one the following SMS app: MOBILedit Connector or Phone Copier

Upon finishing this process, do not forget to change back to your original SMS messaging app (or may not be notified when you receive SMS messages).
