If you use an iPhone our software is able to connect to the device even when it is protected with a pass-code. Most iPhone users use iTunes to manage their phone but mostly for managing music. Almost all users have connected their
iPhone to iTunes at least once. To get a protected iPhone working with MOBILedit, log on to the computer that the iPhone is connected to. From here you will want to get a lockdown file from iTunes. This is automatically created by default for any connected iPhone to prevent anything else accessing it. You will need to search for these lockdown files located in the Apple folders on your PC.
It will be at one of these locations depending on your operating system:
Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10
c:\ProgramData\Apple\Lockdown
Windows 2000/XP
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple\Lockdown
Mac OS X
/var/db/lockdown
After finding these files, copy them to the machine with MOBILedit Forensic installed to the same location.
Launch MOBILedit and the phone locked with a passcode will connect with no problems.
