Message display

Message display

The messages are being displayed in a list. This list displays the text and the information about the sender/recipient and the date and time. You may sort the messages by clicking the appropriate column header. The messages are arranged by date by default. You can also search messages on the main toolbar.

The messages are distinguished into three categories: Received, Sent and Drafts. Conversation sorts the messages exchanged with a certain contact into a conversation as they went in the sequence. All displays all the present messages in one list. The messages may be distinguished by the icons next to the checkboxes (sent/received). Drafts are displayed without any icon. Received messages are displayed on a green background, sent messages are pink and the drafts are displayed in grey.

There are several tools to manage messages in the edit toolbar in the upper right corner:

  • Send Message - Initiates a dialogue to compose a new message (more in the section Writing a message)
  • Reply - Starts a new message composition, having the original sender pre-filled as recipient. The original text is present as well.
  • Forward - The original text remains present while you need to choose the recipient(s) to forward the message to.
  • Delete - The message will be deleted from the phone memory (a copy is being saved in the archive to prevent an unintended data loss).
  • Copy to Archive - A copy of the message is being stored in archive ("SMS" folder).
  • Move to Archive - The message is being moved from the phone memory to the archive ("SMS" folder).
  • Save Number - Creates a new contact in your phonebook containing the sender's phone number.
